Westlife said their return to the stage for the first time in two years was ‘emotional’.
After spending the majority of the past two years separated and unable to work due to the pandemic, the band made up of Shane Filan, Kian Egan, Mark Feehily and Nicky Byrne reunited on stage in Belfast’s Ulster Hall this week.
Sharing some snaps from the ‘special night’, the Flying Without Wings hitmakers said they are hopeful it is the first of many more shows to come.
Posting from their official account, they said: “What a brilliant and emotional night!
“Thank you so much @zoetheball, @bbcradio2 and @waterfront_ulster_hall for having us.
“This performance was a special one for us and we can’t wait to share it with you all!”.
They also posted a selfie of Shane and Mark on stage saying: “It’s good to be back”.
The gig was the fourth of four BBC Radio 2 Live concerts taking place this month around the UK.
Almost 70,000 people had applied for tickets, but only 160 were in attendance at the intimate gig due to pandemic restrictions.
Sligo born singer Shane said they are hoping to fit the rest of their fans in soon.

“It was emotional to say the least !
“But so great to back on stage together again.
“166 fans won tickets to be in the audience, but to hear that over 69000 fans applied is just AMAZING!… & reminds us how much love and loyalty you all give us .
“Sorry we could not fit ye all in this time but we will hopefully very soon.
