What’s Going To Happen
Western Michigan got back up off the mat after losing to Toledo, but it can’t afford anther misfire. All of a sudden, though, the schedule doesn’t look all that bad the rest of the way as long as it can get out of Ypsilanti with a win.
Eastern Michigan went from being the plucky team that beat Illinois in Champaign to losing two straight in the MAC.
The offense isn’t moving the ball constantly enough, and the defense isn’t coming up with enough stops or plays behind the line. Mike Glass and the passing game have been fine, but there’s no ground game whatsoever.
WMU will get a huge game out of QB Jon Wassink as he takes over the game right away and keep everything moving. He’ll get plenty of time to work, and he’ll pick apart the Eagle secondary on key down after key down.
