Westbrook was not happy to be asked about Joel Embiid at All-Star

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook is notoriously not friends with most of his opponents on any given night and that notion is especially true with Philadelphia 76ers center Joel Embiid.

From Embiid posterizing Westbrook last season to Westbrook infamously waving Embiid off the court, the two players have had their fair share of dramatic moments in recent memory.

The rocky relationship even trickled into this season when the Thunder and Sixers met last month in Philadelphia: Westbrook gave an expletive-laced answer when asked about Embiid.

As fate would have it, Westbrook and Embiid are teammates for the All-Star Game on Team Giannis after LeBron James traded Westbrook to pair up with Embiid.

With the NBA congregating in Charlotte for All-Star Weekend, Westbrook was asked about his new teammate and did not seem open to talking about Embiid, via Alex Kennedy of HoopsHype.

Given the history of Westbrook and Embiid, the All-Star Game on Sunday night figures to be quite interesting to see if they share the court together and if the relationship can be repaired.

Westbrook leads the NBA in assists at the All-Star break with 11.2 per game, but it remains to be seen if he’ll dish the ball to Embiid on Sunday if they do play together.
