Westbrook: The first player with 30 triple-doubles in multiple seasons

Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook recorded his 30th triple-double of the season on Sunday against the Dallas Mavericks with 25 points, 11 rebounds and 11 assists.

By logging his 30th of the season, Westbrook became the first player in NBA history to record at least 30 triple-doubles in multiple seasons after having a record-setting 42 during the 2016-17 season, according to Stat Muse.

The only other players to record at least 30 triple-doubles in a single season are Wilt Chamberlain (31) and Oscar Robertson (41). His 30 are the second most in a season of his career.

Westbrook is averaging 23 points, 11 rebounds and 10.4 assists per game as he closes in on a third straight season averaging a triple-double. In order to accomplish that feat, he needs to average just 4.8 assists over the final five games this season.

The Thunder are 20-10 this season when Westbrook records a triple-double.
