Westbrook has the most points in the NBA since the All-Star break

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has been on a bit of a recent offensive resurgence. In fact, Westbrook has scored the most total points in the NBA since the All-Star break.

As Bleacher Report pointed out on Friday, Westbrook leads all players in points scored during that time frame. Surprisingly, Chicago Bulls guard Zach LaVine is second to Westbrook.

Since games resumed on Feb. 21, Westbrook has recorded 245 total points while LaVine has 230 points. LeBron James is third with 229 points, Trae Young is fourth and James Harden is fifth.

Over his last eight games, Westbrook is averaging 30.6 points, 10.6 rebounds and 6.8 assists while he is shooting 46.8 percent from the field, including 38.7 percent from 3-point range, according to NBA stats.

Westbrook’s scoring average since the break is actually fourth in the league but he has played two more games than the three players ahead of him so he has the most total points during that span.

After a slow start to the year offensively, Westbrook is beginning to turn things around. He is starting to hit his stride shooting the ball as he is averaging 3.6 made treys per game since the break.

The Thunder are 3-5 in those eight games.
