Westbrook has 40 points and 10 rebounds in 3 consecutive games

Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has now recorded at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in three consecutive games for the second time in his career.

Westbrook had 41 points and 10 rebounds in a 119-116 loss to the Sacramento Kings on Saturday night to lead the Thunder in scoring but a layup to tie the game late was waved off after he was called for a charge.

According to Justin Kubatko of Stat Muse, the only other player since the ABA-NBA merger to have at least three straight games with 40 points and 10 rebounds is Moses Malone.

For the second time in his career, Russell Westbrook has recorded at least 40 points and 10 rebounds in three consecutive games. The only other player since the ABA-NBA merger to have at least three straight 40-point, 10-rebound games is Moses Malone (2x).

The recent streak for Westbrook is the best of the season in terms of offensive production as he is averaging 42.7 points over his past three outings.

The Thunder fell to 5-3 Saturday night on the second game of a back-to-back after previously defeating the Utah Jazz in double overtime on Friday night as Westbrook had 43 in that game.
