Oklahoma City Thunder All-Stars Russell Westbrook and Paul George each ranked inside the top 15 in jerseys sales among all NBA players, according to ESPN.
Westbrook placed seventh on the list of best-selling jerseys with George finishing 13th in the NBA. Westbrook was sixth last year in jersey sales while George was not ranked inside the top 15.
Westbrook typically has been among the NBA’s most popular players and often has one of the best-selling jerseys. His relentless style of play usually results in fans gravitating toward watching him.
On the other hand, George elevated his play to another level this season and fans took notice. After posting career-highs across the board, he is a finalist for MVP and Defensive Player of the Year.
James leading the NBA in sales is probably not a surprise to most. He is often near the top of the list and his move to the Los Angeles Lakers certainly created a demand for his jersey.
Meanwhile, Westbrook and George also may have been helped in sales after the Thunder unveiled two new jerseys this season: the new “City” edition and the “Earned” edition, which was the “Sunset” look.
