Oklahoma City Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook has been no stranger to movies and fashion. So, it likely wasn’t a surprise to see the former MVP appear in a new movie commercial.
With “Men in Black: International” set to hit theaters June 14, the film is running some commercials during the NBA Finals. During Game 1 on Thursday night, Westbrook appeared in a spot promoting the movie.
In addition to Westbrook, Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul also was the focus of another ad for the movie, which is a reboot of the original trilogy starring Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones.
The 30-second spot with Westbrook encapsulates his personality off the court perfectly with plenty of talk about fashion. It even referenced a line made famous by Smith in the previous movies.
The new “MIB” movie features Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson playing the lead roles. Filming for the movie took place in New York City, Morocco, Italy and London.
