The residents of Westbridgend hoping to operate their own community hall are one step closer to achieving their goal as councillors are set to vote next week.
Westbridgend Community Hall Development Association have applied to West Dunbartonshire Council for a community asset transfer.

The group are proposing to open the new centre as a community hub with a café, after school and evening clubs, parent and toddler groups, elderly lunch clubs, and arts and fitness clubs.
Officers are recommending councillors approve the bid at an infrastructure, regeneration and economic development committee on May 15.
They are encouraging members to authorise the council to design and build a new hall, which will be transferred to the community.
