Westbourne Park incident: Woman found dead with 'self-inflicted' knife injuries

A woman has been found dead in a London park with what are believed to be self-inflicted knife wounds.

Police were called at 7.20am on Sunday morning to Westbourne Park Open Space in Bourne Terrace, Westminster, to reports of a woman suffering from knife injuries.

Police believe that the injuries the woman suffered may have been self-inflicted - and the death is not currently being treated as suspicious.

The London Ambulance Service also attended the incident, but despite the efforts of emergency services the woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Officers from the Met are currently at the scene.

The London Ambulance service confirmed their attendance at the scene but were unable to save her life.

No details of the woman have been made public.
