West Yorkshire Police jibe a hit on Twitter as they call out very strange breakfast combination

West Yorkshire Police have gone viral after responding to a very bizarre breakfast combination on Twitter.

The tweet came as a response to a picture posted today (Tuesday) by the official Weetabix account.

It shows a bowl of the cereal topped with a serving of Heinz beans.

The tweet reads: "Why should bread have all the fun, when there's Weetabix? Serving up @HeinzUK Beanz on bix for breakfast with a twist."

The West Yorkshire Police Twitter account replied with the cutting comment: "Even though this is criminal, please don't ring us to report it".

The jibe clearly hit the right note, with the tweet racking up more than 1,800 likes and nearly a thousand retweets.

The original Weetabix tweet was retweeted more than 27,000 times and was liked more than 19,000 times.

It provoked a hearty conversation about the strange combination.

The Tesco official account replied: "Illegal combination in the bagging area".

The NHS England account added: "This tweet should come with a health warning".

And Tinder UK cut in: "Trust us, this is not a match".

But some people did seem open to the bizarre combination, with one Twitter user writing: "I had a boyfriend once who use to spread butter on Weetabix and eat it like a slice of bread! I tried it. It wasn’t unpleasant."
