West Yorkshire home improvement specialist enters kitchen market

Leeds-based home improvement specialist Passmore Group has introduced More Kitchens to its suite of services.

The 54-year-old family-run business – which incorporates More Bathrooms, More Ability and More Build – has extended its existing showroom in Leeds, to include the newly launched kitchen offering, in order to support the brand’s strategy of 60 per cent growth by March 2022.

Headquartered in Wortley, the 70-strong company services customers within a 30-mile radius of all three showrooms in Leeds, Harrogate and Mirfield.

Passmore’s headquarters will now showcase a combination of traditional, linear, classic and contemporary designs, with the aim of helping customers make their kitchen the heart of their home through the creation of a stylish and functional space.

Managing director Tony Passmore said: “We have become the only five-star rated bathroom installer and designer in the region, and after witnessing the firm’s 26 per cent growth in the last two years – following the introduction of More Bathrooms and More Ability in Harrogate – we felt that the next logical step was to expand our kitchen offering, making it a standalone service.

“As a result, we will provide our customers with a ‘one stop shop’ for their main home improvement items, with a company they can trust to deliver on quality.”

The latest service expansion has also paved way for the hire of eight new team members, including six kitchen fitters.

Desiree Eddy has come on board as the new marketing executive, bringing with her over five years of experience in digital marketing and has worked in a range of industries, from IT to fast moving consumer goods. Her main roles will be to enhance the online presence of the More Bathroom and More Ability brands.

In addition, installations surveyor Rob Hands has joined the team bringing with him over 30 years of experience in project and contract management – including owning his own kitchen renovation business.

Tony said: “Desiree will make a great addition to the marketing department. She comes from an agency and client-facing background, giving her a fantastic scope of knowledge and hands-on experience to support us in our expansion. Rob’s role has been specifically created for our expansion into the new division, and he has fantastic experience in managing the entire service renovation process, so he will be a valuable member of our team.

“The new hires will help ensure that we uphold our first-class renovation standards and deliver an exceptional service every time.”

It follows the opening of the organisation’s third showroom located at Whiteleys Garden Centre in Mirfield, which showcases bathroom, bedroom and kitchen displays.
