West Town Lane crash: Man rushed to hospital after being hit by vehicle

A man has been rushed to hospital after being hit by a vehicle in Brislington

Police and paramedics attended the crash, on West Town Lane, at around 3:40pm today (November 19).

The busy route has been closed in both directions while officers investigate.

An Avon and Somerset Police spokesperson said: "At approximately 3.40pm today (Thurs 19 Nov), the ambulance service made us aware of a collision between a vehicle and a pedestrian in West Town Lane, in Bristol.

"Officers have put in road closures while emergency services deal with the incident.

"A male casualty has been taken to hospital."

A witness told Bristol Live: "There has been a serious accident on West Town Lane.

Long tailbacks have been building on Callington Road, Hungerford Road and on Bath Road.
