West Midlands police release their weirdest ‘emergency’ calls (Getty)

“My finger is stuck in a bottle…”; “I’ve got an injured seagull in front of me”; and “there’s a twelve inch lizard… which I’ve captured… I’ve put it in a box in the bath so it can’t escape” are just some of the ‘emergencies’ that were reported to West Midlands police.

Watch a compilation of the best calls below.

The bizarre comments were all genuine calls to West Midlands 101 hotline and have been released as the department deals with its busiest month for calls.

If you can’t get enough of these hilarious calls, there is plenty more on their SoundCloud.
