West Lothian wakes up to icy weather as first snow falls

People in West Lothian woke up to a dusting of snow and some ice as the colder weather took hold.

The first snow of 2020 settled on the county amid yellow weather warnings for snow and ice.

The Met Office has issued warning for large parts of Scotland, including for Thursday and Friday, as wintry showers are expected.

Experts have warned there could be snow from 10pm tonight r(Thursday) right through until 9am tomorrow.

But the colder weather has been welcomed by many, including Juliet Cairns-Bowdle (3) and dad Tim, from East Calder.

They took to Cockleroy Hill in Bathgate with their sledge to enjoy the snowy weather.

We'd love to see your pictures of snowy scenes or sledging and snowball fun. Send your pictures to debbie.hall@reachplc.com.
