West Lothian shopping centre celebrates kind hearted heroes with prizes

The Centre, Livingston, is celebrating the kindness of the local community by uncovering the thoughtful deeds of friends, neighbours and family members, with gift cards to give away each week to spend at the shopping centre when it fully reopens.

As part of The Centre’s Gift of Kindness campaign, the shopping centre is keen to highlight and acknowledge small, everyday acts of kindness which have the power to spread a little happiness both near and far.

Each week, for the next four weeks, The Centre is asking people to nominate a friend, family member or work colleague whose kindness has made a difference; whether they’ve shown their community spirit by de-icing a neighbour’s car, made sure that someone self-isolating has everything they need, or even sent a pamper package just to make the recipient smile.

The Centre will be giving away two £50 gift cards each week – one for the person who has been nominated and one for the person who nominated them. Gift cards will be valid for 12 months from the date that the shopping centre fully reopens.

Nominations should be sent to enquiries@thecentrelivingston.com along with a short description of why they are being nominated.

Ashley Bisland, deputy centre director at The Centre, said: “We’re incredibly proud of how everyone has supported each other during what has been a very challenging time.

“Now, more than ever before, it’s important to celebrate the community spirit of the people of West Lothian and reward their acts of kindness.”
