West Lothian racist thugs leave victim with face injuries in vile car park attack

Police have launched an appeal for information after a man was injured during a racist attack in the car park of a West Lothian restaurant.

The 26-year-old suffered facial contusions and was subjected to a torrent of vile abuse during the ordeal outside the Don Pollo Peri Peri eatery in Livingston on Saturday, April 3.

Officers responded to calls shortly after the incident, which is understood to have taken place after 9pm.

They have now asked local residents who may have witnessed the attack or those with CCTV covering the Osprey Brae area of the town to share information with officers.

Police Constable Ben Ross, said: "A 26 year old male sustained minor injuries to his face and was subjected to racial remarks as a result of this incident.

"Enquiries are still ongoing and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the incident or may have CCTV covering the area"

Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101, quoting incident number 4228 of 03/04/2021 or call the charity Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
