West Lothian primary school receive prestigious award

Linlithgow Bridge Primary School is very proud to announce that after a huge effort from the whole school community, they have received UNICEF’s prestigious Gold Award.

Gold is the highest accolade given by UNICEF UK and shows a deep and thorough commitment to children’s rights at all levels of school life.

The assessors commented that the school had confident, articulate pupils and that very good relationships existed between pupils and staff.

The school was also recognised for giving pupils a wide range of opportunities to take action for their own rights and those of others both locally and globally.

A Linlithgow Bridge spokesperson said: “Linlithgow Bridge strongly supports pupil led learning and our young people suggested that everyone dressed in blue and yellow/gold, UNICEF’s colours, to celebrate the occasion.

“A huge thank you must go to the whole school community. We are the first school in the Linlithgow cluster to receive the award.”
