A West Lothian Poundstretcher store has announced it is closing down.
The discount chain at Retail Park South, Almondvale Road, Livingston recently put signs up outside the store with the news.
All stock at the store is available at a 20 per cent discount and the offer will remain until everything goes.
However, rumours persist online that the store may relocate elsewhere in Livingston.
The retailer launched a launched a company voluntary arrangement (CVA) rescue plan a year ago and analysis by The Grocer revealed that they have shrunk by 75 stores since.
Poundstretcher had 437 stores in July 2020 and 362 this month. Charlotte King, senior location intelligence consultant at CACI, said: “The data suggests that like many other brands Poundstretcher are going through a process of optimising their network, closing their underperforming sites and looking to open new locations where suitable options arise.”
The Courier has contacted Poundstretcher for an update on the store relocating.
