West Lothian police investigate report that child's bedroom was 'shot at'

Police are investigating reports that a child's bedroom window was broken and 'shot at' in West Lothian.

A local resident of Millgate, in Winchburgh Village, claims his daughter's window was broken between 10pm and 11pm on Saturday night.

He posted that the window "appears to be have been shot at" on a local Facebook group and that he had reported the incident to Police Scotland.

He wrote this morning: "Did anyone happen to hear or see anything in Millgate between 10-11pm last night? My daughter's window was broken last night, appears to have been shot at. I have reported it to police."

A police spokeswoman confirmed they had been contacted by the resident.

She added: "We are aware of the incident and will be speaking to the complainer this week at a time and date that was suitable for them."

One social media, another resident wrote: "Sorry to hear that, shocking". Another added: "Disgusting"
