Police are hunting two men who snatched a handbag from a woman as she was walking along the street.
The victim had her handbag stolen by two men in Whitburn on Monday evening.
The 23-year-old was walking along a footpath near White Burn at Laburnum Road, when two men approached her from behind, one grabbed her handbag and both ran off towards Briar Gardens.
The bag contained a mobile phone and personal items.
The first suspect is described as being approximately 18 years old, five feet seven inches in height, of large build and was wearing a black hoodie with front zipper and dark grey jogging bottoms.
The second is around 18 years old, five feet eight inches tall, of average build, with dark hair and a fringe and wearing a black/dark grey hooded top and black jogging bottoms.
Detective Constable Laura Hanlon, West Lothian CID, said: “Thankfully the woman was not injured but she has been left shaken by what happened.
“Officers have been making local enquiries and checking CCTV from the area but would appeal to anyone who may have seen the incident or the two men in the area to come forward.
