West Lothian police appeal for information following purse theft

Officers are appealing for information following a theft in Armadale.

Between the hours of 8pm on Saturday (June 6) and 1.30pm on Sunday (June 7), a man entered a house in Marches Drive in Armadale and stole a purse from within.

The suspect is white, aged between 30 and 40 years of age, around six feet tall, short brown hair, with a gaunt appearance and lesions on his forehead.

He also had a tattoo on the left side of his neck, described as three rows of text.

Constable Matthew Morran from Bathgate Police Station said: “I would appeal to anyone in the area who may have seen anything suspicious or unusual to contact us.

“The crime itself may have been opportunistic and it’s possible he approached other properties in the area. If anyone has any information, please get in touch with us.”

Anyone with information should contact police via 101 quoting incident number 2022 of 7 June, 2020. Alternatively information can be passed to Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
