West Lothian Police appeal for information following on from road incident in Livingston

West Lothian Police are appealing for information after a serious road incident in Livingston yesterday morning.

The collision on Deans North Road happened around 8.40pm on Monday, 4 November, 2019 and involved an off-road style KTM motorcycle and a black Vauxhall Corsa at the junction leading to Deans roundabout.

Emergency services attended the scene and the motorcyclist, a 19-year-old man, was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment to serious injuries. The driver of the Vauxhall Corsa, a 49-year-old man, was uninjured. The road was closed for about five hours to allow for investigations to be carried out and was reopened at 1.40am.

Sergeant Jill Kirkpatrick of the Edinburgh Road Policing Unit said: “Enquires into this crash are ongoing and I would urge anyone who witnessed the collision, and has not already spoken to police to contact us.

“We are also appealing to anyone that may have been in the area around the time of the incident who may have seen either vehicle prior to the crash or has relevant dash-cam footage.”

Those with information can call Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 4006 of 4 November 2019.
