A West Lothian petrol station has been included in a list of EG Group owned fuel stops that will introduce maximum spending limits for drivers.
Thanks to the huge queues of motorists this week, many petrol stations have began to limit customers spending limits in order to stop further issues.
When the news that there was a shortage of lorry drivers transporting fuel to stations hit the UK headlines, motorists flocked to their nearest pumps to panic buy fuel.
As drivers queued across Scotland for petrol, stations began to close due to them running out of fuel before the next delivery, as reported by the Daily Record.
Government officials and supermarket giants took to social media to urge motorists to stop the panic and purchase fuel at a normal rate.
And so, some forecourts owned by EG Group have now introduced a £30 fuel top up limit, to quell the sudden panic buyers.
The Shell Garage in Whitburn, West Lothian, is among the 11 across Scotland that will commit to this £30 limit.
Other stations in Scotland that will undertake this limit include: Lomondgate in West Dunbartonshire, Bearsden Road, Fullarton and Garrowhill in Glasgow, Bothwell, Kirkcaldy and Glenrothes, Fife, Stirling, Caird Park in Dundee, and Bridge of Don in Aberdeenshire.
