West Lothian neighbours baffled after entire flock of sheep take over estate

A flock of sheep have invaded a housing estate in West Lothian after breaking out of their field.

Baffled Heartlands resident Darren Fleming shared the picture on social media, with the caption: "See the factor is out again this morning cutting the grass."

This is a veiled joke to the grass-cutters that are regularly seen in the estate cutting all the public grass areas, which look to have been replaced with the fluffy creatures.

The sheep can be seen clustering around a patch of grass on Colliery Lane, clearly grazing where they should not be.

Plenty of Facebook users in the private Heartlands community laugh reacted to this photo, clearly amused by the sight of the animals in an unusual location.

One Facebook user commented: "Strooth! Nearly ran one of them over!"

Another said: "They are getting adventurous now!"

Since this post, the sheep have made their way back over to the field escaped from, clearly bored with the estate as a whole!
