A stretch of the M8 in West Lothian is being shut off to motorists every night until Saturday.
The motorway is being closed off between junctions 2 and 3 so that important road improvement works can be carried out.
The roadworks began on Monday and are continuing every night until Saturday, between 8pm and 6am.
The £103,000 road improvement scheme will incorporate essential maintenance at the following locations: Junction 2-3 River Almond, Junction 2-3 Newbridge Clifton Road, Junction 2 westbound slip-road, and Junction 2 northbound slip-road.
A signed diversion route will be in operation in the evenings, while the road will operate as normal during the day.
The road closure will be phased, closing the M8 eastbound for three nights before relocating to close the M8 westbound for three nights.
Drivers on the M8 will be advised via signage of the road closures in advance of the junction off-slips.
