Police in West Lothian have launched an enquiry into the death of a man who was found injured on a footpath in Livingston this morning.
West Lothian officers this afternoon confirmed the death of the unknown man, which has been confirmed as unexplained, early this morning, the Daily Record also reports.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Officers were called to the Deans area of Livingston following a report of a man having been found injured around 3am on Tuesday, 16 November, 2021.
“The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

“The death is being treated as unexplained and enquiries are ongoing.”
Residents near the scene of the incident have reported seeing an influx of police activity during the day, and claimed that a footpath to Eliburn Park had been taped off by the authorities.
Another who lives at nearby Buchanan Crescent said: “Back path is cordoned off so nobody can walk through. We watched them put it up this morning and apparently there is more police at the underpass.
“Police won’t say anything but very worrying.”
The police spokesperson also said an appeal will be issued later today and anyone with information should get in touch.
