West Lothian Love Island star Paige Turley updates fans on marathon training

West Lothian Love Island star Paige Turley has updated her fans on her progress while training for a half marathon in a bid to raise money for mental health.

The Winter Love Island winner shared with her followers that she would be running London Landmarks Half Marathon on April 2, after her hometown sadly lost a beloved member of their community.

On her Just Giving page, Paige wrote: "In December last year my hometown sadly lost another friend, son, brother, grandson and upstanding guy, Jamie Aitchison aged 20, after he sadly lost his battle against the scourge of mental health.

"The tragic news has left a hole in many people's hearts with many in the community struggling to come to terms with the loss of Jamie, who was the light in a dark room.

"Unfortunately, this is news that is heard all too often with mental health reported to be effecting 1 in 4 people in the UK."

So, while training, Paige uploaded a video to Instagram letting her followers know how she was getting on. The star said: "Rain wind or snow, we're out getting the miles done.

"I mean, I didn't really choose the best attire for snow at all. But, we're moving, we're getting there." Paige currently has a target of £4,000 for her marathon, and has raised £1,430 so far.
