West Lothian influencer Paige Turley warns 'I was ripped off for being Scottish on holiday'

West Lothian Love Island star Paige Turley has claimed that she was ripped off when paying for an ice cream cone in London, all because of her nationality.

The Winter edition winner has been out and about in London, enjoying some time off her busy schedule with boyfriend Finn Tapp. However, the singer got the shock of her life when she went to grab a cold treat from an ice cream van.

Writing on social media, Paige said: "Talk about inflation...a 99 just cost me £4.50!" Posting a picture of the ice cream, complete with flake, Paige was taken aback at the cost of such a small treat.

Fans comments flooded in on the situation, and Paige sought to address the post later on on Wednesday evening. Posting a photo of Finn with a bottle of beer at dinner, she wrote in the Instagram caption: "Dying at your responses regarding the ice cream...what a Liberty!

"Swear she heard my accent and bumped up the price #touristprices." Turns out being Scottish isn't so beneficial down south, according to Miss Turley.

Earlier this month, Edinburgh Live reported that Paige was back on the saddle, as she returned to horse-riding at a Manchester equestrian school.

The Love Island winner posted on social media earlier on in May 2022 that she was in the hospital to have a routine surgery, calming her fans worries. Edinburgh Live reported at the time that Paige reassured her followers that it was a "minor surgery" she was undergoing, and she was "on bed rest while Finn plays nurse."

Now, the star is back to her best, as she posted a video of herself riding around a paddock on the back of a horse. Paige captioned the post: "First time back in the saddle post op felt good."

She also tagged Daisy Nook Riding School in the post, a Manchester-based riding school and show jumping yard. The aspiring singer has been revelling in her new fitness journey as she trotted around the paddock, smiling for the camera as she passed by.

Paige was the winner of Love Island Winter Edition in 2020, alongside current boyfriend Finley Tapp.
