West Lothian Housing Partnership development nominated for top industry award

A new housing development has been shortlisted for a prestigious award.

West Lothian Housing Partnership’s (WLHP) 85 new homes in Dixon Terrace, Whitburn, have been nominated in the Affordable Housing Development of the Year (Social Rent) category at the Scottish Home Awards.

WLHP, part of Wheatley, Scotland’s leading housing, care and property-management group, completed the new homes in July 2020. The developer was Springfield Partnerships Ltd.

The Scottish Home Awards celebrate the best in Scottish housebuilding every year, and have been running since 2007.

Elspeth Lang, Wheatley development manager, said: “Our new homes can help transform lives and communities and we’re delighted to be recognised in these prestigious awards.”

The winners will be revealed at an awards dinner in Glasgow in September.

Last year, Wheatley scooped two prizes at the Scottish Home Awards.

WLHP is currently building 146 new homes at Almondvale in Livingston and another 42 homes at Jarvey Street, Bathgate.

Work is also underway on another 20 new WLHP homes in Winchburgh on the outskirts of Edinburgh, and on 14 homes in in Blackness Road, Linlithgow.
