A busy West Lothian road has been closed in both directions following reports of a multi-vehicle collision, with emergency services still in attendance at the scene.

The incident occurred at around 2:00pm on Wednesday, August 3, with West Lothian Council taking to social media to inform people of the closure. They posted: "Emergency Road Closure - A71 from junction to Langton Road, East Calder to Oakbank Roundabout.
