West Lothian home targeted by thieves during break-in in broad daylight

A West Lothian home was targeted by thieves, after a sum of cash and other expensive items were snatched from the property.

Police in the area are now appealing for witnesses after the break-in was carried out on Long Dalmahoy Road, near Kirknewton.

According to officers, those involved had broken into the property, before stealing a sum of cash and a number of personal items during daylight hours on Saturday (October 23).

Taking place sometime between 12pm and 6pm, entry was forced into the house, before those responsible made their get away from the site.

With an investigation into the incident now underway, police have urged anyone with information to come forward.

Detective Sergeant John Bowerbank said: “Our enquiries into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone with information to get in touch.

“We would be particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen any suspicious people or vehicles in the Kirknewton area on Saturday afternoon.

“If you have any dashcam or private CCTV footage from the area on Saturday afternoon then please let us know.
