West Lothian girl's feet touch the ground for first time after life changing op

A West Lothian girl has touched her feet on the ground on her own for the first time ever after major life changing surgery in Poland.

Little Arabella Green had the life changing major surgery on both her legs in Poland on October 26 and has been in intensive physio since.

The chance to get the life changing operation was all thanks to a monumental fundraising campaign launched by her dad William, after mum Catherine sadly took her own life on March 16.

Proud William shared a heartwarming video of his daughter in an adorable pink rainbow dress sitting on a purple chair with her physiotherapist with her feet touching the floor on her own for the first time ever.

This is a massive step for the brave wee West Lothian warrior nearly standing on her own just a month after major surgery.

William wrote: "Good morning Everyone, today I share amazing positive news! Yesterday for the first time ever Ella was able to using her core muscles to perform an attempt standing position from the seat with the help of her Amazing Physiotherapist Kasia.

"This was for her to feel the pressure on her feet , she never stood up on her own as we are awaiting the support braces but she got to feel her feet touch the ground for first time ever and by god she was over the moon she’s getting excited and so am I!

."We are now moving onto new exercises sizes for the the next 2 weeks getting her in position to stand from seating position."

The heart warming post gained hundreds of likes since it was shared this morning with dozens of comments from all the well-wishers supporting Ella from back home.

Lisa Miller said: "Well done, this is amazing to see Princess Ella. You are such an inspirational little girl, so clever, we are so so proud of you."

Kath Green Seath gushed: "Wow Ella you are so amazing Sweetheart. Just want to send you a big massive hug. You are truly a Scottish Warrior. We are all so proud of you! Keep smashing it Ella. Bravest person that I know."

While Angela Miller added: "Well done Ella even sitting up yourself is amazing you got this princess."
