West Lothian fans have been going wild for a West Lothian junior club’s doner kebab half-time pies.
A picture of the incredible snack - available at Armadale Thistle’s Volunteer Park home - was shared over social media by self-confessed ‘pie aficionado’ David Stoker.
The snap showed a cross-section of the pie to reveal the doner meat filling, which is dripping in chilli sauce.
David added that he had never seen a pie like it, before giving the £2.50 snack a solid nine out of 10.
He tweeted: “Pie review: Donner pie, Armadale Thistle. HAUD. THE. BUS. Not seen one of these before, but what an idea!
“Donner kebab meat and chilli sauce in a handy package.
“Not for everyone, but right up my street. Half a point off as served tepid.”
The tweet has been shared more than 300 times and has been liked by almost 2,000 punters, who have been left drooling at pictures of the pie.
And dozens of football fans now appear willing to switch their football teams to get their hands on it.
One tweeted the club: “Any season tickets left?”
Another wrote: “That’s a game changer, a wee bit of garlic sauce in there as well and then you’re talking.”
Bosses at Armadale Thistle, who play in the East of Scotland Football League, have been loving the attention they have received over the snack - and they said that you don’t even have to go to their ground to try it.
Responding on Twitter, they said: “Love this one about The Dale’s now famous kebab pies…you don’t need to wait till match day, get yours at Dewars the butchers in the Dale.”
