A team of West Lothian firefighters put their skills to a different use to raise money for two very worthy charities.
Livingston Fire Station held its annual charity car wash recently and for one day concentrated on hosing down vehicles rather than putting out fires.
The firefighters said they were delighted to return after a two-year absence due to the pandemic to raise £1720 which will be split between the Firefighter Charity and Jak’s Den.

Over 300 cars turned up for a good wash and Livi FC mascot Livi Lion was also on hand to entertain the kids.
Firefighter/station representative Theresa Penrice said: “We raised in total £1720. We are splitting the funds between the fire fighter charity and local charity Jaks den. Can you send me a copy “The sun was shining. The Livi Lion was very mischievous and we had roughly 350 cars.”
