West Lothian darts fans will be hoping it’s double delight on Friday night as both Peter Wright and William Borland get their world title bids underway.
Livingston-born Wright lifted the PDC World Championship trophy two years ago and enters the tournament as the second seed.
The flamboyant 51-year-old is last up on Friday at the Alexandra Palace in London where he’ll face the winner of the first round time between Ryan Meikle and Fabian Schmultzer.
Before that, though, East Calder ace Borland makes his big stage debut.
A string of impressive results this season ensured the 25-year-old a place in the World Championships for the first time and he takes on England’s Bradley Brooks.
