Traffic Scotland have warned drivers to be cautious as a swan has been spotted on the M8 by Whitburn.
The swan is believed to have made its way onto the road at Junction four of the M8 and it is not yet known if it has been rescued.
According to Traffic Scotland, Trunk Road Incident Support Service (TRISS) are understood to be on sit dealing with the incident.
The significance of the disruption caused by the rogue bird on the central belt stretch of road is unknown at this time but those travelling along the M8 are urged to show caution when passing Junction four.
