West Lothian dog walkers warned as teenage yobs smash bottles on popular route

We reported earlier this week that reports of vandalism by groups of children and teenagers off from school have surged across Edinburgh and the Lothians.

Dog walkers in West Lothian have now been warned to be careful when exercising their dogs after one local collected a staggering amount of broken glass on a popular route.

On a post in Facebook community group 'West Lothian Women' a member shared the shocking images with the caption:

"A warning to dog walkers in Murieston and a plea to youngsters to stay at home.

"My husband has just returned from walking the dog and picked up all this broken glass in about 10 minutes in the grass near the burn in the park just along from Robin's Lane -thank goodness for poopbags!

"Unless youngsters stay home this is likely to get worse."

In the comments on the post the lady's husband was praised for his effort to help the community and concerns were raised as to the rise in these issues in the area.
