A West Lothian delivery driver was battered by a gang of teenage thugs in a shocking street attack.
The 47-year-old man was making a delivery to Loanfoot Road in Uphall at around 5.40pm on Saturday (September 14) afternoon when he challenged the teenage boys about their behaviour.
The youngsters, aged between 13 and 16, attacked the male and he was subsequently taken to St John's Hospital in Livingston where he was treated for a facial injury and other minor injuries.
Police are now appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault.
Detective Constable Tony Gilhooley from Livingston CID said: “This has been a frightening experience for the man involved and thankfully he wasn’t more seriously injured.
“The attack took place in a busy residential area, and I’m urging anyone who has any information about the incident to contact us via 101 quoting incident number 3288 of September 14 2019.”
