West Lothian couple still very much in love after 65 years

Congratulations to sparkling couple Margaret and Robert Peden who recently celebrated their 65th wedding anniversary.

Robert (90) and Margaret (85) were married on Sept 21, 1957 at East Calder Church and had their reception in the Masonic Hall in Mid Calder.

They have one daughter, Caroline, son-in-law Mike and two grandsons, Steven and David.

They lived in east Calder after getting married until 1972 when moved to Burnwynd where Robert worked as a joiner. He worked there all his life Margaret trained as a nurse and then worked in East Calder library until she retired.

Robert used to enjoy wood turning and gardening growing tomatoes and pottering about in his workshop and they were involved with many activities within East Calder and Kirknewton church, where Robert is an elder.
