West Lothian couple mark diamond wedding anniversary surrounded by family and friends

Congratulations to Bathgate couple Dick and Jessie Saunders who are celebrating 60 years of married life.

The couple met at Palais before being married in the town’s High Church and went on to have three children.

Before retiring Dick (85) and Jessie (81) successfully ran businesses in Armadale including a taxis firm, the Coffee Pot and Tiny Tots before becoming the owners of Lothian Vending.

Both of them are keen bowlers and both won championships and are past presidents at their club.

They now enjoy spending time with nine grandchildren and seven great grandchildren and to mark their diamond wedding anniversary they celebrated at The Dome in Edinburgh then with then family at a party at the Fairway in Bathgate.

The couple requested no gifts and all donations went to Alzheimer’s, raising over £500.
