West Lothian Council have granted permission for nearly 200 new homes in a local village.
The council granted matters specified in conditions to build 185 new homes with car parking and associated infrastructure.
The works in Blackridge at land to the south of Craiginn Terrace are part of ongoing developments in the village.
The development by Blackridge Developments Ltd will see 185 new homes, car parking, open space, access and associated infrastructure including realignment of the Barbuchlaw Burn.
There will be 51 two bedrooms properties, 99 three bedroom and 35 four bedroom units.
One in six of the new properties will have an electrical charging point for vehicles.
The Courier reported earlier this year that planning had been granted for 27 new homes for over 55s in the area, with a new Scotmid store on the way too.
This was in conjunction with Cairn Housing Association, who will act as the Registered Social Landlord (RSL), once development has been completed.
Granting permission on the matters specified last week, the head of planning at the council, Craig McCorriston, said: “The application is acceptable in terms of its layout and design.
"The formation of the linear park around the realigned Barbuchlaw Burn is acceptable and further information on the burn realignment is to be secured via condition. The proposal delivers the necessary affordable housing requirement.”
