Staff and students at West Lothian College have been working hard to support their local community during this difficult period.
Many people are facing a significantly more difficult time than others due to the disruption coronavirus has.
To help those in need of it, staff and students at West Lothian College have been doing their part.
Employer engagement officer, Elaine Campbell, has signed up for community groups in her hometown of Linlithgow.
She has been doing community outreach there, helping vulnerable groups to access essentials or to offer a friendly chat on the phone.
Elaine has also signed up with the Red Cross and Volunteer Scotland as well as donating £2000, through her charity the PJ Foundation, to support families who have children in hospital due to covid-19.
She is also providing essentials packs of food and activities to help their stay be that little bit easier.
Student support service leader, Lorna Jenkins, has been out at 6.30am every day delivering papers to the elderly for her local shop, with the number of papers increasing daily.
The Estates team at the college have donated over 100 face masks, 1000 pairs of disposable gloves and eight pairs of brand new safety goggles to front line services in West Lothian.
Professional Cookery student Aimee Latham has been putting her skills to good use working 7am to 10pm at Social Bite helping homeless people to get food.
