West Lothian charity Smalls for All needs YOUR help following break in and robbery

West Lothian charity Smalls for All has been collecting and distributing underwear to help women and children in Africa and the UK since 2010.

Since their inception, Smalls for All have now given over 1 million items of underwear to those who wouldn’t otherwise have any, giving them back the basic human dignity that everyone deserves.

However, the Livingstone-based chartity had their warehouse at the Kirkton Campus  in the town  broken into last month, with significant damage caused.

Pipes were stolen resulting in flooding throughout the warehouse, a generator was taken and some of their stocks of underwear were spoiled during the incident.

The charity have now launched an appeal for funds to ease the move into new premises - they are hoping to raise £19,000 to cover rent, rates and other associated premises costs for a year, and pay for the loss of the generator.

Smalls for All ensures that teenage girls can complete their education without having to miss school each month during their period, they help people living in orphanages and those in hospital suffering from conditions such as obstetric fistula - it is therefore unsurprising that the news of the robbery sparked outrage in West Lothian's community.
