West Indies vs England: Third ODI in Grenada abandoned due to rain

England were left frustrated after the third one-day international of their series against the West Indies was abandoned due to rain.

The match had been due to get underway at 1:30pm GMT, but following an afternoon of taking the covers on and off, the clash in Grenada was eventually called off without a ball being bowled.

The five-match series is currently level at 1-1, with the fourth game scheduled for Wednesday, February 27 at the same ground.

England won the first game of the series with their highest-ever ODI run chase, as both Jason Roy and Joe Root scored centuries in a six-wicket win, despite the Windies breaking the record for the most sixes in a single ODI innings.

The two captains made it into the middle for a delayed toss, but play was later abandoned before it had begun

However, the hosts hit back in the second game of the series, putting on 289 from their 50 overs, before skittling England for 263, thanks in large part to a five-for from Sheldon Cottrell.
