David Moyes hopes to have Michail Antonio back from his hamstring injury for the trip to Leicester City.
Antonio could probably have been named on the bench against Everton at the weekend but Moyes did not want to risk the 29-year-old, who recently returned after three months out with a serious hamstring issue and has struggled with hamstring problems in the past.
Should Antonio be fit, he will provide more support for Sebastien Haller.
Darren Randolph will continue in goal following a solid display against Everton in his first game back at West Ham.
Felipe Anderson is not expected to return in time for the game at the King Power and Ryan Fredericks remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Moyes switched to four at the back against Everton but he could revert to a three-man defence against a Leicester side who have stuttered this year and have lost their last two matches.
