David Moyes will hope to have Jarrod Bowen available for West Ham's season-concluding clash with Aston Villa on Sunday after the winger was forced off with a knock at Manchester United.
The West Ham boss indicated after the Old Trafford draw in midweek that there was not too much concern over the January signing, who has been in fine form since joining from Hull on deadline day.
Moyes takes his side into the final day of the season with no pressure having secured safety with the point gained on Wednesday night, something which has made a tangible difference within the squad across in the days since.
"I would say we are all relieved," said Moyes. "It’s been difficult and quite stressful after coming back from lockdown, the pressure was on and playing nine games in six weeks was always going to be difficult."
Opponents Villa, however, are still fighting for their status and come to east London with their fate firmly in their hands after victory over Arsenal on Tuesday night.
"It won’t [be easy]," said Moyes "I never expected it to be, I expected us to be competing against them for one of us to day stay up but the way our players have done a great job of getting ourselves in a safe position.
"I have to credit the players and how they went about their job and we haven’;t had to take it to the last game of the season."
