West Ham XI vs Larnaca: Starting lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Europa Conference League

David Moyes is without Michail Antonio for West Ham’s Europa Conference League last-16 second leg with AEK Larnaca this evening.

West Ham lead 2-0 thanks to Antonio’s double in Cyprus, but the 32-year-old Jamaica international picked up a slight calf injury in the second half and didn’t feature in Sunday’s 1-1 Premier League draw with Aston Villa. Instead, it’s Gianluca Scamacca starting up front as he gets his chance to impress.

Elsewhere, Czech right-back Vladimir Coufal is still suffering with a foot injury and also misses out, with ben Johnson starting

Speaking on Wednesday, Moyes said: “Coufal still has a problem with the sole of his foot and Antonio has a bit of a calf injury which he picked up in Cyprus last week.”

Despite the Villa draw only three days old and the first leg against Larnaca garnering a healthy 2-0 aggregate lead for the Hammers, Moyes has named a relatively strong side.

“We plan to change [the line-up] a little bit, but ultimately we need to be ready for the game,” said Moyes earlier in the week.

“We want to qualify and we never take anything for granted. We don’t want to give the opponent any opportunity to get back in the game.”

Declan Rice is rested, but the likes of Lucas Paqueta, Jarrod Bowen and Kurt Zouma all start.

West Ham XI: Areola; Johnson, Ogbonna, Zouma, Cresswell; Soucek, Fornals, Paqueta; Lanzini, Bowen, Scamacca

Subs: Hegyi, Anang, Aguerd, Benrahma, Rice, Ings, Cornet, Emerson, Kehrer, Laing, Mubama, Potts
