West Ham vs Man Utd: Prediction, tickets, live stream, TV, team news - Premier League 2019-20 preview

West Ham vs Man Utd
Premier League 2019-20
Venue: London Stadium
Kick-off time: 2pm BST, today

West Ham welcome Manchester United to the London Stadium on Sunday hoping to capitalise on six days of rest.

While Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men were in European action on Thursday, the Hammers have not played since their 10 men battled to a goalless draw at Aston Villa last Monday.

West Ham have only beaten Manchester United once in seven meetings but that came in the same fixture last term, which Manuel Pellegrini's men won 3-1 in east London.

A stuttering United have picked up just two points on the road this term - against Southampton and Wolves - and will be keen to build on last weekend's narrow win over Leicester at Old Trafford.

West Ham vs Man Utd team news

West Ham's long-term absentee Winston Reid could return for the under-23s next week or the week after.

The 31-year-old has been sidelined since his knee injury against Swansea almost a year and a half ago, but could be nearing a return.

Manuel Lanzini has a small problem, which will be assessed on Saturday. Arthur Masuaku will be unavailable after his sending-off at Aston Villa on Monday and is expected to be replaced by Aaron Cresswell.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer hopes to have Daniel James back against the Hammers, but the Manchester United manager again expects to be without Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw.

James missed Thursday's Europa League win against Astana due to a knock sustained against Leicester and will be assessed ahead of the trip to the capital.

Solskjaer is not expecting Pogba (ankle) or Martial (thigh) to return on Sunday, while left-back Shaw (hamstring) remains sidelined.

Predicted XIs

West Ham: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble; Yarmolenko, Lanzini, Anderson; Haller.

Man Utd: De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; Matic, McTominay; Pereira, Lingard, James; Rashford

Prediction: West Ham 2-1 Man Utd

West Ham will fancy their chances of upsetting a weary Manchester United following their hard-fought win over Astana.

Though unbeaten away, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men have looked unconvincing on their travels and face a Hammers side which has clicked into gear under Manuel Pellegrini in recent weeks.
