West Ham vs Man Utd lineups: Premier League confirmed team news - Lanzini and Greenwood ruled out

Manuel Lanzini will miss West Ham's clash against Manchester United after failing to make the 18-man squad for the game at the London Stadium.

The Argentinian playmaker's participation was already in doubt after picking up a knock in the goalless draw with Aston Villa on Monday.

But it appears the 26-year-old has not had enough time to recover with Spanish midfielder Pablo Fornals replacing him in Manuel Pellegrini's starting XI.

As expected, Aaron Cresswell has also been recalled at left-back in place of Arthur Masuaku, who is suspended following his red card at Villa Park.

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has named an unchanged line-up from the side that beat Leicester City 1-0 last time out.

However, 17-year-old Mason Greenwood has not been included in Man Utd's 18-man squad despite scoring against Astana in the Europa League in midweek.

In his pre-match interview, Solskjaer revealed the youngster has got tonsillitis and is being rested to recover from more important games.

The Norwegian is still without key trio Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw, so Juan Mata and Andreas Pereira get another chance to impress.

West Ham XI: Fabianski; Fredericks, Diop, Ogbonna, Cresswell; Rice, Noble, Fornals; Yarmolenko, Haller, Felipe Anderson.

Man Utd XI: De Gea; Wan Bissaka, Lindelof, Maguire, Young; McTominay, Matic; Andreas Pereira, Mata, James; Rashford.
